Request for Studies for Classroom Structure/Management Meta-Analysis

Erika Patall (University of Southern California) and team are currently updating a meta-analysis on link between classroom structure (or classroom management/organization) and students’ motivation, engagement, and achievement among PK-12 students. By classroom structure, also referred to as classroom management or classroom organization, they are referring to an assortment of practices (e.g., communicating expectations, rules, and goals, framing students’ activity with directions, guidance, routines, or schedules, creating an organized space and materials, providing clear, organized activities, giving feedback, etc.) that teachers’ use alone or in combination to create an organized and predictable environment that helps students effectively achieve desired outcomes. This research synthesis will include both experimental and correlational studies looking at any aspect of classroom structure. Erika and team welcome both published and unpublished work, which may include conference presentations, unpublished dissertations, technical reports, raw data, or in press manuscripts. Materials can be emailed to the following email address: [email protected]. All viable data will be included and cited in this meta-analysis. Thanks so much for your time and consideration!
