Soliciting questions for APA Division 15 session on motivation theories and diversity!

On Friday, August 7 from 1:30 until 2:50 pm EST, Alison Koenka and Allan Wigfield will co-chair an APA Division 15 session.  The session, “Where Do We Go From Here (2.0)?  A Continued Conversation on Motivation Theories and Their Implications for Education Policy, Practice, and Ethnically Diverse Student Populations” will include the following motivation scholars: Jessica DeCuir-Gunby, Sandra Graham, Wendy Grolnick, Tim Urdan, Ellen Usher, and Allan Wigfield.  Jamaal Matthews will offer remarks as the discussant, with a 30-minute question and answer session following his remarks.  The symposium builds on a recent special issue published in Contemporary Educational Psychology on motivation theory.  The main focus of the symposium will center on the extent to which current motivation theories address and acknowledge issues pertaining to diversity into their frameworks.

In the spirit of ensuring that as many voices are heard as possible, Alison and Allan invite Motivation SIG members to submit questions here in advance of the panel (see also https://forms.gle/JUzSiEXqhdSZZu4T7).
